The VAC Standard 220 Beam Power Monoblock
&
VAC Standard 105/105 Beam Power Stereo Amplifiers
NEW FOR 2003!

The new Standard 220 Monoblock is the most potent VAC amplifier ever. This 220 watt Beam Power unit uses the legendary KT88 tube and Renaissance-style triode input circuit. Rare for a high power amplifier, the Standard 220 possesses the delicacy, detail, & subtlety desired in a tube unit, combined with an unprecedented punch & bass control. The VAC choke-based pi power supply reduces noise to vanishing levels, typically less than 0.3 millivolts at the speaker terminals even if the variable negative control is set to zero. VAC's Beam Power Sentry keeps watch over the output tubes. Balanced inputs are available. With three massive transformers, two chokes, and VAC's space frame chassis, everything about the Standard 220 exudes serious substance. This is the finest high-power amplifier in existence today.
The new Standard 105/105 stereo amplifier is a stereo Beam Power amplifier similar in every respect to the Standard 220/200 monoblocks. Compared to the older PA100/100 model, the Standard 105/105 is appreciably more potent, more detailed, quieter by an order of magnitude, and unconditionally stable in virtually any system. Like the Standard 220 and the Avatar Super, the 105/105 has the new VAC Beam Power Sentry circuit to monitor each KT88 tube, and immediately restrict current to that tube if a fault is detected, thus preventing damage to the amplifier while allowing continued operation until a replacement tube is fitted. What a remarkably reliable feature!
