The
VAC PA35/35 is an affordable tour de force for triode afficiandos,
sporting four Golden Dragon EL34 output tubes with all spare grids tied to
the anode to achieve true triode operation. The Class A
direct-coupled triode input circuitry is borrowed from the VAC Renaissance
Series.
Its conservative engineering and user-friendly features include front
panel bias indicator lights for occasional adjustment to maintain optimum
performance and output matching taps for 2, 4, or 8 ohm speakers.
Variable feedback (including a zero feedback setting) via front panel
control completes the purist picture.
