The VAC Auricle Preamplifier

If you have been searching for a top quality preamplifier at a reasonable price, look no further.
Based on a VAC circuit used in some of the world's finest audio mastering studios, the VAC Auricle is your answer.
The three triode tube Class A1 line stage is remote controlled and provides three line level inputs and a full tape monitor loop, as befits a true control center. The stereo/mono switch is a welcome feature for collectors of older media. The included balance control helps address room acoustics in the stereo mode, and controls the ratio of left/right source information in mono mode. Low output impedance helps drive long interconnects, while high input impedance provides an easy load to maximize the performance of your source components.
The built in MM phono stage, utilizing three high-mu triode tubes, Class A1 circuit design, and zero-feedback all passive RIAA equalization, outperforms stand-alone phono stages costing considerably more. Low output MC cartridges may be accommodated via the VAC Divinyl external step up option.
The power supply features an elaborately shielded power transformer, careful control of rectifier switching characteristics, and fully regulated heaters for long tube life and low noise. Careful circuit layout and ground referencing join premium quality parts to produce a level of performance unprecedented in such an elegant, affordable package.
